There are a number of methods for controlling Thomson actuators. Most of our units can be run with a your standard toggle switch and a battery. On the higher end units there are many other ways. For example on the Low Level Switching, you can use a switch, PLC, or any other microcontroller. On the J1939 we are utilizing the SAE standard to ensure use with almost any J1939 programmable controller. The proprietary message structure for the J1939 model can be found in the installation manual on the Thomson website.
